Why on-time delivery matters.

Sonny Sears, Adams & Marshall Homes, Inc., Indianapolis, IN

Problem:

When cabinets don’t deliver on time, it’s hard to set a closing date and get the homeowner into their home. And, we lose money for every day a homeowner is not in the house. Without cabinets, other parts of construction can’t happen. The countertops and plumbing definitely can’t get finished. If the plumbing isn’t finished, we are very hesitant to install anything else in the home for fear of water leakage. Therefore the entire home is delayed until the cabinetry is installed.

Solution:

Recently when we sold a spec home in the drywall stage; the cabinets were not yet installed, but were ready for drywall. We had a short amount of time to close or we couldn’t make the sale. The family had to move within 40 days. To expedite the situation, I called my Aristokraft rep and my sales person, and they express-shipped the cabinets to us. In fact, the order actually arrived a week sooner than it normally would have. We have had very few problems with Aristokraft orders. If we do have an order problem, we never have to battle to get it fixed. They always promise – and deliver – on time.

Result:

We managed to salvage the sale and closed out on time. It’s nice to know your local rep. We’ve only had two reps since we began working with Aristokraft. This is very important to me because I want my rep to know everything about my business. That can’t happen if there’s a new rep every year. My rep always stays in touch and is accessible; he tells me the truth and not only what I want to hear. This allows me to plan properly and make my customers happy by always providing what they need.
