Injured Veteran Honored
with New Aristokraft Cabinetry
for Remodeled Home

Staff Sergeant John Bennett can move around a lot easier in his new home thanks to the generous support of Homes For Our Troops, a nonprofit organization that builds and adapts homes for handicap accessibility for the country’s most severely wounded veterans. Homes For Our Troops remodeled the Bennett family’s Montana home with the help of Aristokraft Cabinetry which provided new cabinets for the kitchen.

While in combat, SSG Bennett was shot in the stomach by a sniper resulting in paralysis from the waist down. As a result, Homes For Our Troops and its sponsors and volunteers remodeled the Bennett’s home to make it more accessible for SSG Bennett, who now uses a wheelchair to get around. To give The Bennett’s redesigned, open kitchen a fresh look and within-reach storage, Aristokraft provided Pioneer Hickory cabinets with Natural finish and several of the company’s Organization Solutions including Base Pots and Pans Pullout and Base Cabinets with Double Roll Trays. Both of these Organization Solutions pull-out from the cabinetry allowing, for easier access to hard-to-reach items.

“We are grateful to our servicemen and women who fight for our country,” said Cathy Hitz, Group Brand Manager, Aristokraft Cabinetry, “We are proud to provide cabinetry for SSG Bennett’s home and we look forward to future opportunities to work with Homes For Our Troops and provide cabinets for such a worthy cause.”
